Cardenden trainer Josephine dies in tragic hospital fall
21 November
Fife Police have confirmed that popular greyhound trainer 61-year-old Josephine Mowat of Cardenden tragically died after falling from a window at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.
Mrs Mowat's husband Alfred, daughter Karen and sons David and Richard, said in tribute: "We would all like to mourn the passing of Josephine Mowat, a unique and very precious woman who was prematurely taken from the heart of a lovely family.
"She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many and had so much love and compassion to give and receive. We will miss you always. God bless you xx."
The family have asked that they be given privacy to grieve during this difficult time for them. Officers continue to gather evidence as they investigate the circumstances leading to Mrs Mowat's death, which happened at around 1am on Thursday 17th November.
