Cardenden man arrested after cannabis found at home
6 AugustAnother Cardenden drug dealer has been arrested - as local police continue their fight against drugs.
Officers raided a house in Craigside Road around 6.30pm on Wednesday 4th August following on from a tip off supplied to police by the public.
The officer leading the raid, PC Colin Salmond said: "As a result we obtained a drugs search warrant, and entered the house where we found cannabis and consequently a 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and will appear at court due course."
Local Area Chief Inspector Ross Bennet said: "Our commitment to positive action against drug dealers and users continues to pay dividends as this arrest has led to more drugs being removed from our streets.
"We are fully committed to our Policing Plan pledge to reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs and I am very encouraged by the amount of community information that is being passed to local officers and I would ask the public to continue to share information with us.
