Cardenden homes to cut bills with 'energy makeover'
4 AugustResidents in Cardenden will be amongst the first in Scotland to see homes benefit from an 'energy makeover' that could save up to £300 a year in fuel bills.
The Scottish Gas-backed scheme will see improvements made to 400 homes in Bowhill, Auchterderran and part of the Jamphlars area - with the scheme managed by Ore Valley Housing Association.
The improvements will include external wall insulation, loft insulation and draught proofing to reduce heat loss, as well as a communal biomass boiler and heating controls.
