There will probably be street party's on the agenda again this year.   Here is the one held in Carden Castle Park in 1953.

Quiz about the photo, no prizes.   The photo was taken in june (Scottish summer), so why was the boy second on the left wearing a leather flying hat?

Ok Dave, the answer to yer quiz question could be....ring worm!  If ye got ring worm at school, ye had to wear pilots helmets to hide the purple dye medication on yer heed.  no?

Yes you win the coconut that is exactly the reason.   No hiding in those days, everyone knew what medical problem you had.   I think Chic got over it!
