Activity Club for Disabled People Cardenden
This Club was started 15 years ago by Dougie Dickson and Frank Christie in the Bowhill Centre, it still runs to day as the best disabled club in Scotland or possibly the whole of the UK.
We do a lot of different things - outings to a lot of different places, mystery tours, shopping trips, card making, dominoes, fancy box making, and flower arranging.
We also have talks from all types of people - on money matters, safety issues, health problems and many other topics.
We visit many interesting places in Scotland. At the moment we are 22 members strong, and are looking for more people to join us
Any new members in the Cardenden area are welcome to pop in on a Wednesday morning between 11am to 1pm, and come and see what we are about.
Our members would love to see new faces. or you can phone me Les Croft or Mary George on these numbers Les 01592 722 510 or Mary 01592 721 034 any day.
This year we have had two mystery tours, an annual summer trip plus a meal in Falkirk. We go to Almondvale Livingston for christmas shopping, and we have had two pantos this year, and to finish we have just had our Christmas dinner to end this quarter.
We will start back on the 7th Jan 2009 at 11am prompt. This club decides what and when or where it goes or does by majority vote.
We are also always looking for pushers for wheelchairs to come on our days out, if interested call Les or Mary on the above numbers.
